Facilitation Skills

Training and Development

The Mindspa Institute Facilitation Skills training course will improve your facilitation and presentation techniques and give you the confidence to facilitate highly effective group interventions to a diverse adult audience. Adult participants are unique: they are often people with years of experience; they have technical expertise and cannot be handled in the same way as children who are easily “wowed” by new knowledge.  This Facilitation Skills course will equip facilitators with the understanding required to effectively facilitate powerful, attitude changing meetings, workshops and sessions with their teams.

“A facilitator is the custodian of the consensus process, a servant-leader whose purpose is to help the group make the best decisions possible.” – Briggs

The course will address frequently asked questions such as:

  • How to understand and interact with an adult audience?
  • How to draw out and process audience input?
  • How to initiate, maintain, monitor and conclude structured group activities?
  • How to choose and design the group process?
  • What are the meeting tools for productive meetings?
